Members of the Escalon American Legion Post 263 recently placed American flags all along Main Street as part of the observance for the 250th birthday of the United States on July 4. They put the flags up in time to have them displayed for 250 hours, leading up to the holiday. There is also a ‘250 years’ banner on the Main Street Park arch. The flags will be taken down at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 5. The Post will also conduct a military honors demonstration at the Main Street stage later this month, 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25 as part of the annual Park Fete celebration.
