A cook has been secured for the Escalon Community Thanksgiving Dinner; now plans are being made for the festivities themselves, which will be hosted at Escalon Covenant Church on Thursday, Nov. 26.

As in the past, Deanna Jackson will be taking phone calls for those that need to have the Thanksgiving meal delivered; call 838-6808 and leave a message about how many dinners are needed and the address for delivery.

The Community Thanksgiving meal has been served up for the last several years in Escalon, open to all free of charge and put on through the Escalon Ministerial Association.

Those that want to volunteer can contact the church at 838-7600 for more information. Monetary donations are also accepted and can be mailed to EMA, P.O. Box 1, Escalon, CA 95320.
