Closing out their final high school baseball campaign, this group of six seniors for the Escalon varsity team enjoyed a memorable season, reaching the playoffs and getting two wins, including a quarterfinal victory over reigning Section champion Lincoln. The boys also reached the 20-win plateau, going 20-10 on the year. Seniors this year included, from left, Lorenzo Teixeira, Logan Huebner, Zach Wells, Andrew Armosino, Wyatt Riesenbeck, and Ben Gonzalez. Escalon, the number eight seed in Division 5, opened the playoffs with a 4-1 home win over number nine seed Casa Roble, then defeated top seed Lincoln on the road, 5-4. They lost in the semifinal round to number five seed Wheatland, which went on to win the D5 championship.
