Coming up later this month, two Wednesdays will give local youngsters a chance to learn more about the game of basketball. The youth summer basketball skills clinics, designed for incoming fourth through sixth grade boys and girls in the Escalon Unified School District, are scheduled for July 22 and 29. Participants can choose to attend one or both.
The clinics are being put on through Escalon Elite and the cost is $30 in advance, $35 the day of the clinic if space is still available. Clinics are limited to 30 players per session. Hours for the clinic on both July 22 and July 29 are 10 a.m. to noon and the skills clinics will be hosted in the new gym at Escalon High School.
