Two varsity girls basketball players, one varsity boy and one cheerleader have all been tapped for the Six County All Star Senior Basketball Classic. The games are scheduled on Saturday, April 27 at Modesto Junior College, 435 College Ave., Modesto.

Doors will open at 3:30 p.m.; the girls game is at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 8 p.m.

For Escalon, girls varsity player Sammy Lang and Macie Vickers were named to the All-Star roster; while Ethan Garza is the varsity boys representative. This year, for the first time, there will also be Senior Cheer All-Stars from the six-county area; Escalon’s Janesa Aldasoro will take part; the cheerleaders will cheer at both games and entertain the crowd with an All-Star cheer performance.

Tickets will be available at the door; cost is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 65-plus. Student prices are $8 for kindergarten though 12th grade; $5 admission for youth players, kindergarten through eighth grade wearing their basketball jerseys.

Also featured this year will be an eighth-grade boys All-Star game; varsity boys and girls three-point shootout and a boys slam dunk contest.
