Also taking part were Coach Jones, his son and his friend, competing in the Open race.
For the varsity boys, Kenneth Vargas finished first for Escalon with a time of 16:20.
Leading the varsity girls, Victoria Calderon finished first with a time of 19:57.
For the frosh/soph boys, Brandon Gonzalez finished first with a time of 16:05; while Paityn Tagliabue finished first for Escalon in the frosh/soph girls race with a time of 21:38.
“In the JV boys race, Mateo Estrada finished first despite losing his shoe for a while,” Jones noted. He turned in a time of 18:05 to lead the Cougars in that division.
For the JV girls, it was Miroslava Torres turning in a time of 23:21 to finish first for Escalon.
