Weekly action is underway for members of the El Portal Bowling league, with recent play ending with Val De Rose, Elaine’s Travel and Bartelink Dairy tying at the top of the leaderboard with 7-1 marks.

They were followed by Foxie Ladies, 5-3; The Flocking Flamingoes, 3½-4½; Escalon Body & Frame, 3-5; Dutch Girls, 1½-6½; Always Trying, Team 4, 1-7.

Top scores for the week were recorded by Kelly Homen, 202 scratch game and 539 scratch series; Sandy Cox, 248 handicap game and 646 handicap series.

Season to date leaders for the El Portal bowlers are Cindy Kruger, 167 individual high average and 196 scratch game; Kelly Homen, 539 scratch series; Delores Borba and Sandy Cox, 646 handicap series; Robin Aufdermaur, 243 handicap game.

Bowlers meet each Thursday at 10 a.m. at McHenry Bowl in Modesto for the league play.
