Sharon Fujii passed away peacefully on Feb. 25, 2017 in Modesto at the age of 79. Sharon was born the third of eight children on August 3, 1937 in Wyoming to parents, Lawrence and Eva Mae Daly. Sharon has been a resident of Escalon for the past 60 years.
Sharon enjoyed gardening and especially loved her roses. She enjoyed crafting and collecting Betty Boop and hummingbirds. Above all else Sharon loved her family and they are at peace knowing that she is finally at rest. Sharon leaves behind her children: Robert Merrill Freeseha, Matthew William Freeseha (Mary) and Sherry Langham along with 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind five siblings. Sharon is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Johnny Fujii, a granddaughter, a brother and a sister. Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Deegan Chapel in Escalon. Donations in Sharon’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
