Francisca Munoz Mendoza passed away peacefully on November 9, 2016 in Modesto at the age of 88.
Francisca was born on January 3, 1928 to Bonifacio and Margaret Munoz in Oklahoma. Francisca has been a resident of Escalon for the past 55 years.
Our beloved Mother/Wella enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved being surrounded by her family, cooking, and gardening. She was the most unselfish, nurturing, and loving person we all knew. We are blessed to know you are now our Guardian Angel, and will always be in our hearts. Francisca leaves behind her children, Angelina Monroy of Salida, Rosa Trejo of Escalon, Linda Rosales of Riverbank, Irene Garcia of Modesto, Sally Garcia of Escalon, Lilly Mendoza of Modesto, John Garcia of Escalon, Anthony Garcia of Turlock and Joe Garcia also of Turlock. Francisca also leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, along with her siblings, Francisco Munoz, Lus Sosa and Antonia Higuera, all of Riverbank. Francisca is preceded in death by her first and second husbands, John Garcia and Peter Mendoza.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a vigil service starting at 6 p.m. at Deegan Chapel in Escalon. A funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Escalon.
