Bettie L. (Tucker) Tibbs, 84, of Modesto died Sunday, Jan. 30 at Hy-Lond Convalescent Hospital in Modesto.
Born in Leighton, California, she had lived in Modesto for the last 15 years and prior to that, lived in Escalon. She retired from Vern's Locker Plant in 1975. She enjoyed crafting, loved her grandchildren, family and her church. She also enjoyed camping and fishing.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy Langum of Escalon and Fred Tibbs of Concord; brother, Howard Tucker of Turlock; grandchildren Stephanie Hendrix, Gloria Brassart, Elizabeth Langum and Christina Langum and great-grandchild Cole Hendrix. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Tibbs, in 1997.
Graveside services were Thursday, Feb. 3 at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon. Visitation was held.
