Settling in for a break during the first Escalon Farmer’s Market of the season on April 16 were youngsters Emelia Shaw, left, and Reagan Shaw, right, enjoying their shave ice while Hallie Rokaitis, center, was serious about eating her burger and fries. There were a variety of food and beverage vendors set up in the city’s Main Street Park for the market night, complementing the fruit and vegetable vendors, merchandise booths, homemade sweet treats and more. The Escalon Chamber of Commerce-sponsored monthly market runs the third Wednesday of the month through August, with the next edition set for May 21, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
