Wrestling Brothers Grab Medals, Club Preps For Poker Fundraiser

Continuing their off season success, along with starting on the local Outlaws youth football team, Griffin Gerber and Gideon Gerber competed earlier this month at the Wild West Showdown in Sacramento with Griffith taking first and Gideon taking second place, on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Representing Escalon Wrestling Club this Sunday, Oct. 9 at the prestigious Clovis World Challenge, Garrison Gerber took fourth at 105 pounds in the junior high division, going 3-2. Also medaling was Gideon Gerber taking fourth in the 90 pound 9-10 year old division, going 2-2.

“This is a State level off season tournament with Clovis by far the toughest league in the State,” noted EWC head coach Derek Scott. “Great job, boys.”
