San Joaquin County Supports Cox, Feinstein

Election results from the Tuesday, June 5 primary election show San Joaquin County voters supporting John Cox in the race for governor and Dianne Feinstein in her bid for a return to the U.S. Senate.

Unofficial election night results showed Cox with 17,507 votes in San Joaquin County with Gavin Newsom in second with 15,641.

Feinstein polled 20,820 votes – well outdistancing all competitors on the ballot; her projected opponent in November is Kevin DeLeon.

In Congressional District 10, incumbent Jeff Denham polled 7,073 votes in San Joaquin County, with second place finisher Josh Harder – the likely opponent in November – with 2,809.

Incumbent Heath Flora had 10,562 votes in a bid for the Assembly District 12 seat, with challenger Robert D. Chase polling 5,515.

Countywide, Pat Withrow had a 30,762 vote to 21,976 vote lead over incumbent Steve Moore in the race for sheriff-coroner and incumbent Chuck Winn had 9,162 votes in the race for San Joaquin County Supervisor District 4, leading Julie Damron-Brown, who had 5,370.

In the race for State Board of Equalization District 1, Tom Hallinan had 22,914 votes, leading the race by a wide margin.
