Happy and Healthy, a special program offered in cooperation with the Human Services Agency, is geared toward local senior citizens as a way to help them improve their health, one bite at a time.

If you need simple ideas to eat healthier and tips to save time in the kitchen, join this free class, which runs on Thursdays at noon at the Escalon Community Center. The program will run weekly through June 8. Also featured will be tips on how to save money at the grocery store.

Helpful giveaways are provided every class session. The Escalon Community Center is at 1055 Escalon Ave.

For additional information, call the SNAP-Ed Program, 209-468-1755.

The material for the program was funded by USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, known in California as CalFresh.
