Music, laughter and the clinking of wine glasses filled the air in Escalon during the Chamber of Commerce annual wine stroll, hosted along Main Street on Thursday, May 11.
A good sized crowd turned out to enjoy the festivities, with several businesses along Main Street, between First and Second streets, turning out to team up with wineries and beverage providers to serve finger foods and pour the wines.
Props for photos were available, a couple of different games – including ‘wine pong’ – were offered and background music by Rich C. Olds kept the crowd humming their way along the stroll route.
Along with tasting, many booths had items for sale as well, from Tupperware to Olive Oil to products from the local Nut Up industries and Stuyt Dairy cheese. Chamber officials said they were very pleased with the event, which went off smoothly and saw plenty of downtown foot traffic during the evening.
