The Escalon Covenant Church has marked its fifth year as an official drop off location for Operation Christmas Child, receiving special recognition from the organization. Here, local Coordinator Pam Elsholz displays the certificate. This year, there were 12,384 shoeboxes collected through Operation Christmas Child in San Joaquin County, another 8,800-plus from Stanislaus County collected to send to children in need both across the U.S. and abroad, helping them have a Merry Christmas.
