Escalon Police are looking for some help from the community, asked to contact police if they see anything suspicious, from cars to people, in the vicinity of local parks.

"Brentwood and Sanchez parks have been getting hit with graffiti," Police Chief Doug Dunford explained.

Most of the damage has been done during the late night or overnight hours, so Dunford said if residents living near those parks or anyone out walking their dog late at night sees something that appears out of place, don't hesitate to call police.

Patrols have also been stepped up in the areas, with several complaints of the graffiti coming in to the police department over the past week.

"We need help from the citizens," Dunford said of asking for the extra 'eyes and ears' in the community.

The police department phone number is 838-7093.
