With classes starting for the 2026-27 school year this week in the Escalon Unified School District, second grade teachers Katie Bartelink, left, and Jayme Lueck were in their shared classroom on the Dent Elementary campus recently, making preparations for the beginning of a new year. All campuses will be filled with teachers, students and administrators starting with the first day of school on Thursday, Aug. 6.
