Year number four was a very successful one as Escalon Strong had a total of 51 teams registered and 46 teams that ended up playing in the fundraising Cornhole Tournament on Friday evening, July 24 as part of the annual Park Fete in Escalon. Seva Hospice was primary sponsor for the tournament and prizes were $600 for the first place team, $300 for second place and $100 for the third place team. Entry fee was $50; there was also a special prize package for the top finishing Escalon Resident team.

The Lions Club set up a mini beer booth next to the tournament this year as well and organizers said there was great competition and camaraderie.

Committee members included Steve Gregg, Morgan Gregg, Jeremy Titsworth, Jim Ball, Ryann Smith, Renee Flores and Matt Anderson.

Winning team members are listed as provided by the committee and included: Champions Team Mora, Cristobal and Lil Chris; second place, America, Robert and Black Rhino; third place, Boricua Bag Mafia, Junior and Hank; Escalon’s best award, Thursday Ladies, Paul and Abel.
