Sports Physicals Night Tuesday

Athletes wanting to suit up for Escalon schools in the fall need to have their sports physical completed prior to the first day of practices on Monday, Aug. 10.

The annual Sports Physicals Night will be hosted at the high school on Tuesday, July 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Sponsored by the offices of Dr. Bob Peterson, Travis Bartelink at OPTI physical therapy and the doctors of Escalon Chiropractic, the cost is $20 per person. The sports physical is good for the entire school year so athletes planning to play sports at any time during the 2015-16 school year are encouraged to attend.

Athletic Director Mark Loureiro said the doctors and health professionals all donate their time to help put on the low-cost sports physicals clinic, and proceeds of the night going back in to the sports programs. Typically volunteers from Escalon Community Ambulance also attend to help with the physicals and recording of pertinent health information.
