The California High Energy Hot Shots 12U Girls' fast pitch travel softball team finished the fall season in second place at the NSA Fall Ball championships in Fresno. The girls will play the Spring 2005 season and are looking forward to the Softball Western World Series in St. George, Utah, in July.

The Hot Shots have expanded to three teams for the Spring 2005 season, 10U, 12U and 14U and are looking for a few more players in each age group. With the expansion come expenses and the team will be hosting a fundraiser breakfast, raffle and bake sale on Sunday, Feb. 20 to earn money for helmets, equipment bags for each of the girls, new equipment and expenses associated with the Western World Series.

The fundraising breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Escalon Grange Hall on Feb. 20, with biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, linguica, ham and a variety of drinks. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 10.
