It has been a banner growing year for Escalon Public Works employee Jake Cook, who needed a little help from some friends to load up these massive pumpkins and deliver them for display at a few locations around the city. He said he didn’t do it to enter any contests, necessarily, he just wanted to see how big the pumpkins would grow. Those interested in seeing them can view the pumpkins, set up at Escalon City Hall and Ace Hardware, both on McHenry Avenue, and The Barn along Highway 120, just west of the railroad tracks headed out of town toward Manteca.
