STUFFING SATURDAY
bus donations

It was a busy Saturday at Escalon’s Mar-Val market along McHenry Avenue, as the annual Stuff the Bus effort was hosted during the day. Designed to bring in non-perishable items and some Thanksgiving goods for those in need, the collection benefited the Escalon C.A.R.E. food pantry. The pantry serves residents of Escalon, Farmington and Collegeville. Donors could bring items to the bus, purchase a pre-packaged bag or buy their own items inside Mar-Val to donate. Here, from left, Escalon Transit Coordinator John Andoh, along with C.A.R.E. volunteers Terrie Good and Susan Poole, show some of the donated food items, which helped stuff the bus.
