Coming up on Saturday, April 1, it’s the annual Drive-Thru Tri-Tip Dinner, hosted as a fundraiser for the Escalon High School Sober Grad Night event.
Tickets are now available, at a cost of $60 per dinner, and the drive-thru will be hosted at El Portal Middle School, 805 First St., Escalon from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., on April 1.
The dinner includes a whole tri-tip, seasoned and barbecued, four baked potatoes, a bag of salad and a loaf of bread; a complete dinner for four. Drivers come in and the full dinner is delivered to them, curbside, so they don’t have to leave their vehicle.
Proceeds will help the Sober Grad committee plan for the graduation night gathering for seniors, giving them a safe, sober and fun environment to spend their final night of high school with classmates. The goal of the committee is to make sure every student attending goes home with a prize; there are cash prizes along with many merchandise prizes and a couple of grand prize drawings as well.
The night includes a variety of entertainment, games, food, music and more.
