A fun, new and unique event is being planned for this year’s Relay For Life of Greater Central Valley, with “Camping under the stars” offered on Saturday, May 17.

This is open to all interested; you do not have to be taking part in the American Cancer Society relay event to camp out. The campout will be hosted at Johansen High School, 641 Norseman Drive, Modesto and runs from 7 p.m. Saturday, May 17 to 10 a.m. Sunday, May 18.

Cost is $30 per camp site with a maximum of six people per site. Adult supervision required; there will be family activities, sports games, music, a fire pit for s’mores, crafts for the kids and more.

Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.
