Extra programs are on hiatus during August at the Escalon Public Library, which recently completed a successful and very busy Summer Reading Program.
For August, regularly scheduled activities will continue, while special events will return in September.
The Friends of the Escalon Library will have its quarterly meeting on Friday, Aug. 14 at 9:30 a.m.; the meeting is open to all interested in learning more about the Friends organization and the library itself.
Friday evening, Aug. 14, join in for the “Murder & Mocktails” Book Club, getting underway at 5 p.m.
Chair Yoga will be hosted at 10 a.m. on Mondays, Aug. 17 and 24; Legos & Listen is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18. An Adult Craft event is set for Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon with registration required; call 209-838-2494 for more information.
Thursday, Aug. 20 features Story Time for kids, 10:30 a.m., and an Intro To Sewing class – with registration required – at 4 p.m.
The “Sweet & Spicy Romance” Book Club meeting is set for 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25 and stop by for the Mid-Week Stretch with Annette on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 6:15 p.m.
Story Time will be offered for youngsters on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 10:30 a.m., and the month will wrap up with the Teen Volunteer Club meeting on Saturday, Aug. 29 at noon.
