Strong running performances seen during Park Fete

Runners of all ages hit the course during the recent Park Fete Run in Escalon, with results provided by On Your Mark Events.

Fitland was the theme with EscalonFIT serving as the sponsoring organization. The Saturday, July 25 races featured both a 5k and a 10k.

Top 10 finishers in the 5k were: Coen Brimlow, running the course in 22:49; James Forkner, second; followed by Valente Ochoa and Travis Youngberg. First female finisher was Madilyn Silva, 11, who completed the course in 24:33 and was fifth overall. Taking sixth was Grayson Jefferson, then Hannah Bianchini, Thomas Giles, Eric Tapia and finishing in tenth was Karla Cordova.

Leading the way in the 10k was Andrew Morales in 33:54. He was followed by Juan Verduzco, second; Daniel Pearson, Agustin Torres, Blake Mynear, Robert Egan, and Joseph Collins. First female finisher Dawn Rizzo was eighth overall in 55:28, with Cody Cheary ninth and Arvinder Bajwa closing out the top 10.
