A final Community Workshop is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 9 at the Escalon Branch Library, 1540 Second St., Escalon, on the draft plan for Mariposa Road and Escalon-Bellota Road. The meeting will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will give residents the opportunity to share thoughts on the draft plan before it is finalized.
Project officials said the Mariposa Road and Escalon-Bellota Road Specific Plan is entering its final phase. Draft design concepts have been refined into a full draft plan for the roadway, with the draft to be reviewed at the meeting, including an overview of the recommendations for the heavily traveled route.
The draft plan addresses:
Traffic flow and circulation along the corridor;
Accessibility for residents and property owners;
Safety improvements for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists;
Long-term growth and land use along Mariposa Road and Escalon-Bellota Road.
This will be the last chance for the public to review the recommended improvements and provide feedback before the plan moves forward to the next stage.
“Your feedback at this workshop will help finalize the plan’s recommendations before it is presented for adoption,” officials said.
All interested are encouraged to attend to view the draft plan materials, speak with the project team and share feedback. Register at bit.ly/MariposaRd3
All materials at the workshop will be provided in both English and Spanish. Learn more at sjgov.org/meb-plan.
