Students representing each of the second grade classrooms at Dent Elementary are shown with the holiday gift boxes they are sending off the military personnel serving around the world. The annual box drive saw the students bring in enough donations to fill up a dozen boxes, with special letters of thanks written by the students included as well. Second grade classes are taught by Mrs. Gregory, Mrs. Panero and Mrs. Bartelink, Mrs. Pettit, Mrs. Lueck, and Ms. Sanchez. Veteran gift boxes will be going to Afghanistan, Romania, Japan, Germany and Hawaii, among other locations.
