A long-tenured teacher with the Escalon Unified School District, Sylvia Gilham will be feted at a retirement party this week.

She spent several years at Farmington Elementary School and transferred to Dent just a few years ago, and all are invited to come join the celebration as she prepares for retirement.

The celebration is set for this Friday, May 13 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dent Elementary primary cafeteria.

Sponsored by the Dent Social Committee and the Farmington staff, the event will include cake, coffee, lemonade and plenty of reminiscing.

All of her past students are invited, along with all the staff members that Gilham has worked with over the years.

Dent Elementary is at 1998 E. Yosemite Ave.
