Mark the calendar and plan to attend a great weekend of fun activities, all designed to bring Escalon High ‘Eski’ alumni back together.

Classes 1974 through 1979 are specifically included in the celebration, according to Alumni Chairperson Randy Schmidt.

“I have put together representatives from classes ’74 through ’79,” Schmidt explained. “Together, we are planning the biggest, most event-filled reunion to date.”

Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29 will feature the alumni weekend events and will include a variety of activities. Friday, June 27 classmates are encouraged to gather at Hula’s or Shorty’s, owned by classmates from those 1974-79 years. At Hula’s the Friday evening classic car show will be going on and Shorty’s offers TVs, pool tables and more.

Saturday, a classmate associated with the Escalon Golf Course has arranged a shotgun start scrambles golf tournament from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by lunch and then a visit to the Escalon Historical Society Museum on Main Street, open on Saturdays. Other activities are scheduled to include tours of the local school campuses and a volleyball tournament.

Saturday night features a party at the Escalon Sportsmen’s Club starting at 5:30 p.m., with the buffet dinner starting at 6 p.m.

Sunday will include a casual picnic and reunion for all classes at the Koetitz Ranch, 9421 Bacon Road, Modesto, with food, music, horseshoes, badminton, ping pong and more.

“Plan to enjoy all three days if possible,” said Schmidt. “All of the events we have planned are more fun with more people.”
