Times Seeking Info On College-Bound Athletes

Escalon High School senior athletes – while losing out on the spring campaign this year – nonetheless are looking forward to the next level. Several Cougars will be heading on to play sports in college; The Times would like to feature these athletes in the coming weeks.

Two volleyball players – Hannah Boyd and Tess Cosby – are ready to suit up for Holy Names and there will also be several football players continuing their gridiron careers at San Joaquin Delta College. So far, Damien Tom, Kaden Christensen, David Camacho, and Jacob Walden are planning to play for the Delta Mustangs; all were key contributors to the Cougars’ run to the state championship last fall. Also, wrestler Julia Casillas will attend North Central College in Illinois. A Division III college, Casillas will be heading there on a wrestling scholarship; she was featured in a story previously, when she signed her letter of intent.

If you know of another athlete and the school they will be attending to continue their athletic and academic career, contact Marg Jackson with that information at mjackson@oakdaleleader.com or call 209-847-3021.
