Saturday morning, Feb. 5 featured the annual Don Osborne Memorial Run, put on by the Oakdale Lions Club. The sister-brother duo of Maxine Darpinian, 10; and Harvey Darpinian, 9, of Escalon took part. Maxine was the first female runner across the line, completing the mile course in 8:20. Also taking part in the one-mile walk/run were some members of the TOPS, Take Off Pounds Sensibly, group, including Escalon resident Barb Willis. Meetings are hosted each week in Oakdale on Monday mornings.
