Escalon's track and field squads came up with solid wins on the road at Ripon on Wednesday, April 9.

The varsity boys were 103-33 winners, with some highlights following.

High hurdles Shawn Focht, first, 16.82; 2nd Matt Heflin, 17.86; 1600, first, Matt Barnum, 5.03; 2nd Clancy Casteel, 5.23; 400, 2nd Doyle Niu, 58.07; 100, first Mike Swanson, 11.59, personal record.

Also, Shotput, first Jason Johnstad 39'3; 2nd Greg Schilber 39.1; 3rd Zac Bogar 38.11. High Jump first Mike Swanson 5-6; 2nd Casey Henke 5-4.

300 Hurdles first Matt Heflin 46.3; 2nd Anthony Loogman 47.3; 3rd Shawn Focht 47.4. 800 second Matt Barnum 2.17; 3rd Clancy Casteel 2.22; Discus first Greg Schilber 131-7 (personal best); 2nd Chad Keyser 117-6, 3rd Zach Bogar 112-2.

Triple Jump first Jackson Price 35-10; 2nd James Harrison 35-4.

Long Jump first Ben Carnes 17-7; 3rd Casey Henke 17-5; 200 second Mike Swanson 24.37; 3rd Matt Blakely 24.75. 3200 first Matt Barnum 11.57; 2nd Clancy Casteel 12.03.

Pole Vault first Anthony Loogman 11-6 (personal record); 2nd Jackson Price 10-6.

The varsity girls won over Ripon, 87-49.
