Escalon resident Leighton Finch, right, is all smiles as he accepts a check and congratulations from a McHenry Bowl representative after he recently bowled a perfect game, a 300 in Sunday league bowling action. A 2001 graduate of Escalon High School, Finch just picked up the sport of bowling this past year as a fun thing to do. Dad Fred Finch said the two bowl together in league as a father/son activity and noted that it “was definitely an exciting celebration after his 300 he bowled in league.” For the perfect game, Finch received a payday of $300 from the league and he has also ordered a special ring to commemorate the achievement.
