Escalon Community Ambulance’s Tina Van Houten takes the blood pressure of incoming freshman Nathan Jones at the Tuesday, Aug. 6 Sports Physicals Night offered at Escalon High School. Jones plans to go out for football and needed the physical prior to starting practices with the squad this week. Athletic Director Mark Loureiro said about 170 kids took advantage of the low cost physicals at the school, with representatives there from the offices of Dr. Bob Peterson and Escalon Chiropractic, along with some school coaches and personnel from Escalon Community Ambulance and Escalon Fire Department.
