Action for the track and field Cougars didn’t go the way they had hoped this past week, with the boys and girls both losing in their head-to-head match-up with their Trans-Valley League rival Yellowjackets of Hilmar.
“The boys had some poor performances in the field events and just couldn’t score many points on the track either,” noted head coach Carrie Nash. “The girls put up a good fight, but Hilmar has a bit more depth than we do.”
Escalon’s boys had a tough day against the Yellowjackets, with the final score Escalon 38, Hilmar 98.
