FIRST PLACE FRESHMEN
FROSH CHAMPS

Escalon’s youngest basketball players came home with top honors from the Native Sons of the Golden West 2015 Amador High Freshman Tournament, held in Sutter Creek. Eight teams were involved in the Dec. 10 through 12 tournament and in the opener, the Escalon freshmen defeated Argonaut 53-32. They then toppled Victory Christian 45-35, and on Dec. 12, Escalon defeated Union Mine 43-35 for the championship. The young Cougars, who are now 6-1 for the campaign, played strong defense throughout the tournament. Head coach for the freshmen is David Anderson.
