El Portal Bowling League is starting up once again, with an informational meeting set for Thursday, Sept. 8 at 9:15 a.m. at McHenry Bowl in Modesto.

The bowlers, who compete each week on the lanes, raise money for the El Portal Science Camp trips and last year donated $1,500 to the school to help finance the educational excursion. You can have fun bowling, meet new friends and support local school kids at the same time.

Plan to attend the 9:15 a.m. meeting and stay to bowl, which starts at 10 a.m.
