The next generation of basketball players for Escalon is hard at work in the Escalon Recreation Department’s youth basketball program, gathering for drills and games on Saturdays. Youngsters learn the basics of the game and have time to warm up with dribbling and shooting before taking on other teams in the same age division each week. EHS basketball players serve as referees and help guide the young players. The supportive crowd also enjoys cheering on the kids for their efforts and celebrate both the good shot attempts and the made baskets with them.
