Golf, Track And Field, Tennis Salute Spring Athletes
Golf Honors

Following the conclusion of the spring sports season, an awards ceremony hosted at Escalon High School featured recognition for outstanding players on the spring squads.

For the Cougar golf team, which claimed the Section title, this season’s honorees were: MVP, Nolan Rockwell; Most Dedicated (John DeFilippi Memorial), Danny Bava; Most Improved, Nic Lattig and Max Mello; Most Inspirational, Blake Kissee; Coach’s Awards, James Wentzell and Nathan Sarkozy; All-League selections were Bava, Sarkozy, Rockwell, and Steven Gately.

On the track and field team for Escalon, MVPs were Jessikka Gonzales, Shelby McCune, Juan Lopez and Zach Pickett. Most Inspirational honors went to Rex Robbins, Sidney Lima and Kaitlyn Matsunami; Most Improved were Kalynn Cavanaugh, Julia Casillas and Mitch Cole. Receiving the Coach’s Awards were Brianna Brionnes, Thaddeus Stern and Troy Bedell.

Tennis players who took home individual honors were Wyatt McCune, Boys MVP; Mikayla Schut, Girls MVP; Amanda Salvador and Eli Lattig, Most Improved; Jack Fitzgerald and Rachel DeVecchio, Coach’s Award; Annabelle Shafter and Sahil Prasad, Most Inspirational; Courtney Ney and Trent Berchtold, Best Team Player.
