Loss of pool highlights other community issues

Dear Editor,

Why did the Escalon Unified School District and City of Escalon not take care of the High School/Community pool? I think the citizens of Escalon have a right to know that it has been demolished and filled in. A lot of the community put a lot of hard work into raising money to build the pool. So many children are missing out on the importance of learning to swim.

Why do we have to go out of town to play tennis, pickleball and use a skate park?

Why are there no outdoor basketball courts?

Don’t we want the families in Escalon to be able to stay in Escalon to have activities and socialize?
