Dear Editor,

I recently stopped in to Hula’s for lunch after a visit to Yosemite. I love this restaurant, but now even more. After a nice lunch I promptly started home to Walnut Creek. Then I got a call from my insurance agent. Hula’s had called them to tell them I had left my wallet in the restaurant. I had all my credit cards and $300 in cash.

The staff tracked me down via my insurance card. The owner mailed me my wallet via next day to my home in Walnut Creek.

I was so surprised and grateful. In today’s environment this was indeed a perfect act of honesty and kindness. Bravo Hula’s and Escalon for such a great establishment. This is the way it is supposed to be.
