Dear Editor,

EUSD is at it again! Remember this; Prop 2, Nov. 2024, a $10 Billion bond passed to fund repair, construction, and modernization projects in schools? K-12 received 8.5 Billion for their part. Where’s our pool, the one we’re still probably paying for that developed a mold issue? What about the old gym that a visiting parent/grandparent went to the news about in Jan. ‘25? Disrepair to the point of being unsafe. However, when I attend board meetings it seems there’s always new furnishings. Look at district vehicles, from trucks to 4 wheelers to tractors. How do these things educate our children?

Dr. Pritchard and Mr. Klessens (RIP) NEVER bought new furniture or vehicles, everything was second hand, BUT our children had a pool, all school supplies were provided, required walking distances to school or bus stops were much shorter, and theft wasn’t tolerated. Children always came first. We had staff that fixed things in house, as opposed to outsourcing after these two men left and bromances began during my time there.

Stop the pretensions. The board can’t even keep accurate minutes let alone spend our money wisely.

Calling Nick Shirley!!
