Wanda Jo Ann Harris peacefully passed away at the age of 81 on April 2, 2022 in Paso Robles, CA. She was born August 16, 1940 to parents John and Melcie Chilcott in Oklahoma. Wanda was mostly known as Jo Ann throughout her life. As a young lady, Jo Ann met a young man named Charles Harris and they were married August 1, 1958, they were married 64 years. In 1963, Charles and Jo Ann moved to Escalon where they resided until 1993 and that is when they began their love of traveling in their RV throughout the United States.

Jo Ann enjoyed being outdoors; she loved spending time at Klamath Falls, camping at Woodward Reservoir on the Delta, fishing with her beloved husband and family, laying bricks and doing upholstery for friends and family. She was a hard-working and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She supported her children and grandchildren and attended all their sporting events rooting them on from the stands. Christmas time was her favorite holiday. She enjoyed baking Christmas goodies and candies. Jo Ann had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.

Jo Ann is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Charles; her children, Kandi (Jack) Phillips of AZ and Kevin (Glenda) Harris of Escalon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Doug (Courtney) Williamson, Daniel (Merri) Williamson, Scott Harris; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Ethan, Ryder, Emory, Logan and Colter. Jo Ann is preceded in death by her brother, John Chilcott.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A viewing for Jo Ann will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St., Escalon, Ca 95320, with a Chapel Service on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 10 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at 11 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 East River Road, Escalon.
