Sibyl Irene Sedain, 95, passed away on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013.

She was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Nov. 11, 1918.

The family moved to California in 1924, then to Modesto in 1927 and then to Escalon in 1937.

Sibyl retired from Campbell Soup and belonged to Lion’s Club. She also volunteered for Hospice. She enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening. She moved back to Modesto in 1989.

Survivors include three loving children, Robert (Barbara) Sedain, JoAnn (Terry) Gulmon, and Barbara (John) Mello; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her parents Robert and Ora Wilson and husband, Robert Sedain, preceded her in death.

Funeral services are under the direction of Deegan Funeral Chapel.

Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon.

A graveside service is scheduled at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m.

Remembrances in lieu of flowers may be made to Community Hospice at 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356-9259.
