Ruby Irene Stewart, 96, passed away Saturday, June 28 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House.

Born in Berryville, Arkansas, she lived in Escalon for 65 years. She was a wonderful homemaker and very active in the Escalon United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Juanita and Van Hickman of Modesto, Patty and Jess Hamman of Hickman; sister, Virginia Buller of Lodi; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Leonard Stewart, in 1993.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, July 9 at 11 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 East River Road, Escalon.
