Raymond “Turk” Eisenga passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, one day before his 94th birthday. Raymond was born on Dec. 30, 1928 in Ripon, CA to Eme and Zwaantje Eisenga.

Raymond graduated from Ripon High School, class of 1947 then entered the US Army from December of 1950 to December of 1952, proudly serving in the Korean War. Raymond then worked as a Press Mechanic for Tilly Lewis, Carnation and Silgan Containers for 39 years.

Raymond loved working in his walnut orchard, watching USC football, Oakland A’s baseball and Ripon High School football. He was a proud grandfather at Morgan and Mekenna’s sporting events where he was their biggest fan. He really enjoyed all the time he spent with his two granddaughters.

Raymond is survived by his son, Damon (Darci) Eisenga of Escalon, step-daughter, Lisa Eisenga of Ripon and his two granddaughters, Morgan (Tyler) Brown of Chandler, AZ and Mekenna Eisenga of Corona Del Mar, CA. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings, Mike, Rena, Dorothy, John, Lewis, Charley, infant brother Raymond, infant sister Sadie, Eme and step-daughter, Debra Hazenberg.

The family would like to thank EVERYONE at Casa De Modesto for the exceptional care they provided for dad the past five-and-a-half years and EVERYONE at Seva Hospice for the past two months.

In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be made in Raymond’s memory to Casa De Modesto or Seva Hospice. Services for Raymond are private and as he would say, “Fight On!”
