Northena 'Mammaw' Epley, 89, of Farmington died Thursday, Dec. 18 at Kaiser Hospital, Modesto.

She was born in Colorado and grew up in Hollis, OK. She moved to Oakland in the 1940s, lived in Fremont for 30 years, and lived in Farmington for the past five years.

Mrs. Epley was a retired beautician and seamstress. She also worked for the Fremont Unified School District as a cafeteria assistant.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan and son-in-law Edward Adams of Farmington; grandchildren, Debbie (Wesley) Dobbins of Oakdale, Bud (Nicole) Adams of Vernalis, Kim (Terry) Stephens of Discovery Bay; great-grandchildren, Amanda Dobbins, Cory Dobbins, Wyatt Dobbins of Oakdale, Eddie Adams, Olivia Adams of Vernalis, Carter Stephens, and Courtney Stephens of Discovery Bay; sisters, Dorma Kirby of Hereford, TX and Redonda Staton of Ogden, UT.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray 'Pappaw' Epley; and son, Ronnie Ray.

Services were held Dec. 23 at Deegan Chapel, Escalon.
