Madeline Letitia Carobene Brown, age 75, died at her home in Escalon, CA on March 26, 2020. She was born in Clarksville, TN.
A 1962 graduate of Clarksville high school, she attended Austin Peay State University, where she met and married US Army Paratrooper Daryl Brown; they had a son, and eventually moved to Santa Clara, CA where they would raise their three children. Madeline and Daryl were very involved with Little League baseball, Pop Warner football and high school sports boosters, where they made life-long friendships. She worked over 17 years in administration at Sunnyvale/Onizuka U.S. Air Force Base, then finished her career in Human Resources at the Stanislaus County Office of Education.
 Madeline is survived by her husband of 56 years Daryl Brown; sons Tim (Gina) Brown of Escalon, Joey (Gina) Brown of Oakdale; daughter Melissa (Bryan) Conroy of Riverbank; as well as six grandchildren, Ashley (Drew) Walker of Escalon, Megan (Peter) Engstrand of Escalon, Matthew Brown of Oakdale, CatieMaree, Joseph and Lucas Estep of Riverbank and five great-grandchildren, with another due in June. She is also survived by her brother Corky (Betty) Carobene of Clarksville, TN, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elsie Carobene of Clarksville, TN.
Madeline loved her family deeply; her strength and devotion will be in their hearts always. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
